3 John 1:2. “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.”
I was thinking about health and how some health issues are not because we ate wrong or did anything wrong. Some health issues just happen. It can be hard to understand why. The important thing is to trust God through the process.
I’ll never forget the birth of my daughter’s (Tracy) first child. Everything was great and she was so happy. Then Five days after she had her, My daughter experienced the worst pain in her head. Her husband called 911 and an ambulance came. Soon after being at the hospital, I got a call that my daughter had a life threatening health issue. She was being flown by helicopter to a different hospital. It was there she would find out she had a brain bleed. She would come home after a few days and need months of recovery. Unable to hold anything over 5 pounds. She needed medication every 2 hours around the clock. Family pulled together to take care of her and baby Averie. The time seem to move slow and we didn’t see improvement for weeks. It was then that I started turning my thoughts to one day closer to total healing. The miracle was in the process of time. We thank God for her and her health.
There was questions of why God. She only wanted one child in life and she missed out on holding her and breast feeding had to stop. She could care for the baby but thank God for family who could help. I had to stop asking God why and start thanking him for a new day. A day that someday would stop brain scans for Tracy and her being able to go to work again.
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose
No matter what, keep your focus on God, his plan and he won’t leave you. Through it all, I’ve learned to trust in God. I’ve seen miracles too. Instant healings and I’ve seen moments of waiting. Thank you God for peace!
