Dictionary ~ exclamation
1. a polite expression used when acknowledging a gift, service, or compliment, or accepting or refusing an offer.”thank you for your letter”
Bible ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Giving thanks in all circumstances! That statement can be hard at times. Giving thanks can be hard when you aren’t treated the right way. I was driving through a starbucks and it was raining hard. As the girl handed out the tea, I said thank you for working this window where you get wet. She said, thank you for saying that. A big smile from her and I felt great saying thank you.
Giving thanks for a new day and being alive. I’m tired of people who are rude and mistreat you with words. They have no part of my mind. I refuse to be rude and want the attitude of Jesus. I make mistakes and I work hard at living what I teach.
I recall what God says:
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.” 1 Corinthians 13:4
