GOD’S CHOSEN PEOPLE

Colossians 3:12-17

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Remember this:

Whatever you do, do it in the name of the Lord Jesus!

Acts of kindness has been my life even before I knew who Jesus was. As a kid, I saw things I could do and I did then. I thought everyone was like me but as I grew older, I found out that everyone isn’t nice. Then one day a friend ask me to go to church with her. I heard about who Jesus was and that he loved me. I quickly grabbed onto that but church wasn’t in my life until I was almost 19 years old. I just didn’t like things I heard about church. I listen and formed an opinion from others. Don’t think kids don’t listen to adults.

Not everyone who goes to church is a Christian. Not everyone who says they are a Christian is one. I’ve been hurt by people in church and I’ve learned to forgive. I choose to live the best way I can according to the word. Let’s do our best to live kindness.
