1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV,
says, “no temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it”.
I like this scripture but we must remember that we have free will. We have options, decisions and actions. Each of us make many decisions everyday. Those choices makes us go down paths that are different.
As a young woman in my 30’s, I found it interesting how older women at my church would go up front to pray before church. I asked one of them why, she said it is communicating with God. It shows action by going up front. Every Sunday morning, I would see the ladies up front. They clearly had a close connection to God. I did not have that because I didn’t understand so much then. I do now, but it took time for me to grow in understanding of God.
FREE WILL……
The ladies choices brought a good example to me. It made me interested in asking why they prayed and opened my mind to God.
Jeremiah 29:11
A plan, a promise and a future
God is at work daily in our lives. Reading the Bible helps us grow in understanding. But it is smart to be around people who have wisdom with age. Their examples can help us. Their stories of life and things to do or not to do in life.
What will you do today to gain time with God? A time in prayer, praise time, reading or spending time with someone. Maybe you just have time to read this blog and know that God hears you! Rejoice in this new day and God is able, but you must press forward. Thank you for taking time to read this and my prayers are with those who read my blog daily. Purpose this a good day!
