Genesis 1:9-13
9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.
11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.
12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.
My thoughts:
I saw a tree standing alone. The roots of the tree went deep into the ground. The winds and storms came, yet the tree stood tall. I love how God created the tree as an example of standing strong and roots going deep. As I relate this to my life, I see how the winds and storms of change has entered my life. Standing firm on the word of God and pressing in on a new day.
John 15:5 NIV
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
Trees hold a special place in my life. It tells me to stand still and know that God is God. The word says that as well. People watch your life and my life. I can see the fruit from my life but I can also see the bad that dropped away. Daily I must refocus and live in the land of peace. After all, my roots are rooted in God. I’m challenged as well.
God planned everything and wants the best for you!
Blessings, Sparkie
