WITHOUT YOU ……

Proverbs 4:23

Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.

We live without people in our lives. The Bible says:

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

2 a time to be born and a time to die

I sometimes have flashbacks of my dad dying inside our home when I was 18 years. I realize last night, it was 50 years ago in June 1973. That’s a long time to miss your dad. He was in his early 50’s. I have moments of wonder.

I think about family and friends who have a child that died young. Accidents happens, things happen and now they hurt but forever in their hearts. My granddaughter Brookley had a 4 year old friend in preschool and he died in a car accident. She has a small picture of him in a frame and keeps in her room. She forever remembers him.

WITHOUT YOU …..

God is right here!

I don’t always understand the why or timing of things but I know I trust God. I’ve learned not to lean to my own understanding but live knowing a time to be born and a time to die will happen.

Sometimes without people, we are alone with God. In those times, let us give thanks for our lives. Let us purpose time to see what we do have. Someone watches your life and your decisions matters.

I remember watching my mom after my dad died. She was 44 years ago and wanted to die too. This was hard for my brother and I to watch. After all, we never had been to a funeral before our dad’s. Nothing we could say could help her. I realized one day that she totally needed God somehow, but I didn’t know how to do that. Over timeI decided to ask her if she wanted to go to her church and I would take her. She said yes and we went. It was a beginning for both of us to let God in our hearts somehow. It took time.

Time changes each of us. Life Carrie’s on and we should celebrate life! It takes time to figure out how. Then one step at a time, we can. It is good to move forward daily and don’t miss out on life.

I felt to write this today. I’m praying for those who read this because I feel the hearts of hurting people. Keep counting blessings through it all.
