Psalms 18:2
The Lord is my protector; he is my strong fortress. My God is my protection, and with him I am safe. He protects me like a shield; he defends me and keeps me safe.
PROTECTOR
The Bible tells us that God is our protector. He gives us words to know that and how we should live. We live in a world of division. We believe different, religion, politics, jobs, the way we teach kids and the list goes on. Not everyone believes there is a God.
I BELIEVE GOD is real……
I remember being 18 years old and going to the prom. The guy I went wish told me there was no God. At this point of life, I didn’t know what to believe but I could not there wasn’t a God. He seem to be upset with me but we still went to prom. I had such a bad time. I honestly went with him because he was on the football team. Wrong reason to go for sure.
It would only be a few weeks later and my dad died suddenly with a heart attack at age 53. God was brought into the picture. I dad was a new Christian and believed. I realized my dad was no longer here and I needed to make good decisions in life. College would be my next step. My teacher taught on reincarnation and I wondered what my dad came back as or was this true? Life moved on and God was sending people into my life to help me understand him. At 18 I was just searching for truth.
Let’s move forward a year and I took my mom to church. It was there that curiosity got me. Who is this God people believe in and do I trust what they are saying?
I felt a feeling inside my head and chills. Could this be God?
Proverbs 3:5-5
[5] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
I was being directed by God and I started to believe God was real. Over my years, he continues to protect me and my decisions matter.
We can’t always blame God when we have free will.
