What Makes Us Different? Age, experiences of life and our decisions! The way we grew up and so much more makes us different.

1 Peter 4:10-11

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.

DO IT WELL ~

God has created you to be you. To be different and spread his love through your life. You can become trapped in wrong thinking. Asking God into your heart is the first step into freedom from sin. Working daily toward positive thinking and pressing through to victory over things. It’s a new beginning daily. God can’t give you his best if you don’t do your part.

GOD I’M DIFFERENT

I’m not who I used to be. In younger years I feared life and felt alone. My heart was broken over being bullied and teased. My parents would say what did you do to make kids tease you! Crazy statement because I didn’t nothing but look the way I did and struggled spelling plus reading. I didn’t really know God or the power of prayer. My adult life started with sadness of my dad’s death. My mom wanting to die at the age of 44. i was just trying to make it through a day.

I would hear of Jesus as a teenager and how peace can enter your life. I needed peace so I listened. I was 18 and struggling how God could love me. Is this true, peace can enter your life but how? I was an emotional mess and I ended up in the Emergency room with chest pains. Pills would be the answer and me feeling the pressure of taking care of my 44 year old mom. It felt like too much.

Years to come, I realized it was never my job to take care of her financially. My dad died with no financial support for her or kids. I will stop the story here. It is because of what I have gone through that I feel compassion and want to help others not stop living!

You are different too. Our story is important to someone! Share your story and know this, God is able to meet you exactly where you are now. He wants to be there for you and help. The help might come in ways you least expect.

We are suppose to be different and being real shows others how you make it through things with God’s presence. My sorrow brought me to God down the road. One message of 1 Corinthians chapter 13 changed my life. It was the beginnings of trusting God and healing my broken heart.

Time for you to stop and thank God for your yesterdays. It has brought you to read this and hopefully share your story.
