Sparkie Inspires

Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
    or sit in the company of mockers,

2  but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.

3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—
    whatever they do prospers.

4  Not so the wicked!
    They are like chaff
    that the wind blows away.

5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

6 For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

Short story:

Be careful of your own choices in life. My husband had a best friend at the age of 25 who was called to be a preacher. He was good but he had this problem. He thought that he was predestined and nothing bad could happen to him. Him and another friend decided to drink alcohol and drive. There was a terrible accident and Terry’s best friend died. The driver of the car was ok and went to jail. Both were actually our friends. Leaving an empty place in our hearts for both. Seeing the importance of not drinking and driving, plus against God’s word.

Matthew 6:24

No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

My thoughts:

If you meditate on the Lord day and night, you won’t have time to mess up in life (sin). Yet, we have all sinned. God wants us to live for him and to use our life to help others. Let us not forget that the devil is real and wants to divide you from God’s truth. Guard your heart and do what is right. After all, we have this new day to make a difference.
