John 13:34
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
As a kid, I questioned if people loved me. I remember my mom saying, she always wanted a baby girl. But what happens when the baby girl starts to become a kid? A teenager? A adult? I saw my life change and all I ever wanted was to have my mom around. She said she had to work. But I was about 10 when she never worked again, but never had the time for me. It affected me but it made me want to be there for my kids when I had them. A little mind that planned ahead.
Kids ~ you never know how your words affect them. Be careful in making promises and not keeping them. Showing love can be as simple as kind words, a hug and just listening to a kid.
Luke 10:16. 16 “Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”
Kindness is a word that God wants us to show others. It’s not only towards kids but adults. Think about it a minute, don’t you like it when someone says a kind word or act toward you? I sure do and it makes me happy to hear kind words.
1 Corinthians 13:1-4
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Our humans selves need to read God’s word and apply the love in us , so we can reach out. Purpose this a good day and share kindness.
Blessings, Sparkie
