What life was like as a kid:

My mom never knew her grandmothers. Her mom died when she was five years old. She was the last of 14 kids in her family. A crazy childhood and passed around to different family members. She never felt like she had a home.

Fast forward to me. I never knew grandparents either. I met one who lived in Missouri one time. As a kid, I watched grandma’s drop kids off at Elementary school and come back to get them. I made a decision to grow up to be the best mom and grandma. I wasn’t sure how to do that. So I became the mom I wished I had and later in life, the grandma too. I feel that I was a better grandma than mom.

the olden days. Lol

Well I started school 1960 and girls wore dresses because pants were not allowed in school for girls. We had a black and white TV. A phone that set on a table and had holes in it to dial the numbers. I never got to play outside much because my mom was afraid I would get hurt. I never heard about Jesus until I was about 9 to 10 years old.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Jesus is not an imaginary friend but he was created by God to walk this earth and one day die for the sins of humans. What are sins I was asked? They are mistakes and He forgives us plus forgets them. We will one day be in Heaven and that’s eternal life.

John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

My prayers are daily with my grandchildren. The oldest is about to be 14 and the youngest is 2. I’m a praying Grammie and pray for the desires of their hearts. I pray daily for good days, purpose, protection and they feel loved. I pray for the future for each of them. They have amazing parents, step parents, grandparents and great grandparents. Plus wonderful relatives, Aunts and Cousins. I thank God daily.

Psalm 37:4

Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Purpose prayers for your family!

My prayers are with the readers of this blog. I care and I know God hears us. You can pray over kids without having your own children. Each of us knows kids.
