Proverbs 12:15
The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice.
Subject: Retirement
I tried to tell someone about the importance of having a job with a good retirement. They appeared to listen but I could tell they did receive the depth of my story. I didn’t understand retirement ages until I was retired with no retirement money. I worked but a job that didn’t offer it. I also didn’t save for it. I’m 68 and trying to reach younger people to plan a retirement!
WISE LISTEN
Luke 6:31
Do to others as you would have them do to you.
This is why I write you today. I care that you work hard and never want you to end up without money at retirement age. If one person reads this and plans ahead, it’s worth saying it again.
Time moves fast and you’re young, then you realize you are 65. What? How can this be? What’s next? You get mail for medicare, really? Face it, I didn’t listen or understand the importance of retirement money. I hope you will and check it out on your job. If you don’t have it, then find a job that does offer retirement.
My husband was a union carpenter and has a great retirement. However, if I had plan mine, we would have money to do things. Be smart, care about your future.
Another smart thing, don’t wait to buy a house. We had a five year plan and never stuck to it. We waited for houses to go down and yet we had enough when we bought the mobile house. We just didn’t know that. Research things. Ask people for suggestions and be wise!
You can pray, but it takes action too. Don’t let anyone hold you back. Have you ever been told it took a leap of faith? Sometimes we don’t see the bigger picture and it take you to take a leap of faith. I often wondered about life if i had just done thing’s different on my job.
We can’t live with regrets! Press forward and do your best this day.
Blessings, Sparkie
