Psalm 34:18 NLT
“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. ”
There are several things that can break our hearts. One of the hardest things in my life was watching my brother have cancer. He was 37 years old. He didn’t drink alcohol, no drugs or smoke. Yet, he got cancer and died on Christmas Day that same year he found out.
Life would move on without my only sibling here. It hurt so bad. I remember saying, I don’t want to hurt anymore. Mixed up inside about God healing and to ask God what you want. Yet, God chose not to heal my brother or did he? Healing comes in ways that ended him up in Heaven. God did heal him. I just wasn’t ready to stop believing God would keep him on earth.
The Bible says there is a time for all things. This makes me think of how I need to be prepared for life.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6
a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace
I DON’T WANT TO HURT ANYMORE
My mindset is my choice. I ask the Lord daily to help me keep a positive mindset no matter what I face. Hours turn into days, days turn to weeks, weeks turn to month, and months turn to a year. Everyday I learn, I grow and thank God for making it through yesterdays of life. I don’t hurt as much today as yesterdays and learn to thank God for being alive. Jesus is always here for us, don’t give up. Keep moving forward.
Blessings, Sparkie
