Jeremiah 29:11-13
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
BELIEVE I AM
I remember as a little kid about ten years old. My mom took me to a church where a man (pastor) spoke about having faith. He told a story of a man with little faith. I wasn’t a kid who went to church much. I usually stayed home with my dad. It was that message that stuck in my head.
It wasn’t long after that, so got hit in the head by a plastic doll crib. A kid through it at me and cut my head. I ask my mom to call the preach that talked about faith to pray. My mom called him and his wife to come over. They prayed and a bandage was put in it. Later that night, my mom wanted to look at it and it looked like a pencil mark. She washed it and it was completely gone. My dad wasn’t a believer but he sure saw a miracle. It made him believe.
God puts us into situations to reach out to him. To believe God can and will when we seek him. I’ve seen many miracles within my own family and friends.
As a child I hear Jesus loves me. I wasn’t sure who Jesus was at that point. Someone I couldn’t see but should believe in him. We grow up learning different things and seeing with my own eyes how God healed my deep cut was a life time testimony. I held onto to this story into teen years.
I was asked to the prom at 18 by a football player at my school. He began to talk about God and how he didn’t believe. It was then I realized I believed in God. We never dated after prom. I just couldn’t say those words that God wasn’t real. Be careful who you around yourself with in life. We don’t have to believe the same but believe I am is real.
Blessings, Sparkie
