Genesis 1:1-2

1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God Said:

1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

God knew that our world needs light. God continue on through chapter one of Genesis to create. He also continued on saying, “and God said”. Such a good point, God knew he wasn’t done and every step was even better for us. God continues into chapter two, heavens and earth. Then rest!

Our lives get so busy from the early morning, to late at night. People leave for work early and get home late. Kids go to school and often a sitter or after school program. Then there is sports, dance, swim, gymnastics or something else. Filling our lives with activities. I hear parents complain and it’s all choices. Schedule in quiet time, schedule in enjoying you little kids or teenagers. Then there are people without kids and feel the empty feeling of somethings. We are all different and rest is important for each of us.

AND GOD RESTED ~ AND WE REST

Rest isn’t just a physical thing, but a mental rest also. I can sit in a chair and be so tired thinking over somethings. I tell myself to stop thinking so much and rely on God to answer somethings. God has brought me through many things and my family too. Nothing is too big for God.

Lets us hold onto God for all things. I often recall miracles of life to help me through hard stuff. It helps and I find myself encouraged. You should try that in your life too.

Purpose positive thoughts and actions today. Remember, “And God Said”.
