Psalms 119:34
Give me understanding [a teachable heart and the ability to learn], that I may keep Your law; And observe it with all my heart.
Proverbs 13:18 tells us, “Whoever disregards discipline comes to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored.” Commit to being a lifelong learner.
Staying teachable is a desire I have in life. I have learned to be more like Jesus. I also have friendships that makes me a better person. Staying away from negative person is a must.
James 1:1-27
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: Greetings. Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
WISDOM ~
Over time, I’ve gained wisdom by learning things. I’m not the same person inside or outside over time. I’ve learned from others, from my own mistakes and wanting to become a better person. How about you? Have you gained wisdom from your own life?
I have co-lead a class on Wednesdays night at my church since 2004 – 2005. I’ve met a-lot of women and I’ve learned from them. They have learned from me too. We have learned from God’s word. Many prayer request, many praise reports and growing together. Women come and go but I’ve been there over years. God is doing a new thing on Wednesday nights at church. People want to meet together, grow in community and share life. Staying teachable and ready.
